Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and creative Intermediate Designer to join our team. The Intermediate Designer will work closely with the Principal and Senior Designers to execute the aesthetic vision for projects. The candidate’s responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to: researching and developing furniture plans; assisting Senior Designers on the design and development of projects; creating drawings and prepare project presentations for client meetings; researching and sourcing FF&E within the correct budget and style; managing specifications and construction schedules; coordinating all vendor meetings and site visits; maintaining project files; provide assistance for photoshoots; create Client Proposals; manage Client Order and Purchase Order data on a constant basis; manage project action items within Design Docs; and effectively work with Junior Designers and interns and assist with their training/mentoring; attend client meetings; assist on project installations.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• 4+ years of professional experience in high-end residential interior design
• Degree in Interior Design and/or Architecture from an accredited program
• Proficiency in AutoCad, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office required; Design Docs knowledge preferred, SketchUp skills are a plus
• Strong design and presentation skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• Strong communication skills
• High attention to detail to ensure design intent and technical accuracy
• Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented professional
• Must be a team player and comfortable working independently, excels in a fast-paced environment and adept at meeting deadlines
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of furniture, millwork, and cabinetry construction, detailing, and related shop drawing review process
• Experience selecting and specifying high-end residential custom furniture, fabrics, finishes, and decorative items
• Experience and skill at managing purchasing and budgets
• Must have a car and be willing to drive to and from vendors and jobsites, as needed
• This is an in-person, in office position
• Discretion is a must
