NORMAN DESIGN GROUP is looking for a detail oriented bookkeeper to assume responsibility for maintaining the daily financial operations of the firm and managing office financial requirements as assigned by the firm. Must be a dedicated team player and self- starter capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You should have strong accounting knowledge and be able to work at a quick and focused pace. Position reports directly to Design Director and Principal.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities include:
• Invoice clients and monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Issue client statements and follow up for payments
• Reconcile Credit cards with PO's
• Working Knowledge of Studio Designer Software www.studiodesigner.com
• Enter all vendor invoices into system
• Enter and properly code accounts payable and credit card transactions
• Accounts payable and calling clients on payment status
• Record cash receipts and prepare bank deposits
• Reconcile and maintain all accounts
• Calculate hours for payroll
• Review work in progress reports to determine invoice requirements
• Client correspondence
• Client contracts
• Liaison with tax accountant, outside bookkeeper, other outside consultants
• Communication with clients and vendors

Experience:
• Solid understanding and implementation of accounting principles and practices
• Bookkeeping experience
• Interior design industry experience a plus
• Studio Designer software a plus
• Full time/In office position.
